The cowl vent was filled sometime back.  We just couldn't have that on this tradition styled pickup!  Thankfully, whoever welded it shut did a decent job.  They didn't cut out the drain section, and didn't warp the cowl.  Since the truck has air, things are going to get real tight under the dash, with the vent getting a limited amount of travel.
	We picked up another vent, so the first order of business was to carefully cut the old one out.  At this point, the new vent is sitting in the hole and being checked for a nice gap.
	Everything is now functioning.  Considering the air unit is mounted real high under the dash, we're really happy with the amount of travel the vent has.  We also made a different type of lift and holding mechanism due to such limited space under the dash.
